Web Component Contract

A renderer-neutral contract for describing a Web Component interface, validating typed configurations, and applying those configurations without guessing how values reach the component.

Contract

A component schema identifies web-component-contract/schema, profile version 1, and exactly six interface sections: attributes, properties, events, slots, CSS custom properties, and CSS parts.

Attributes, properties, CSS custom properties, and slots carry assignable state. Events and CSS parts are descriptive. The contract defines canonical configuration identity and exact application semantics; it does not define rendering, screenshots, component loading, or product workflow.

Implementation ownership

The specification is portable. Schema compilation, validation, and generation belong to SandScript. Sandom publishes the contract but provides no contract runtime or component-specific adapter.
